"Physical scientist / research scientist" travels as R&D scientist, technical specialist, or data scientist; an "environmental protection specialist" becomes environmental compliance, ESG, or sustainability consulting; an engineer's series maps straight to its private discipline. Name your instruments, methods, and software.

Lead with output and scale

Publications, grants won and managed, patents, datasets, and the size of programs or facilities you ran are your portfolio — list them. For industry, translate "advanced the science" into outcomes: cost, time, capability, or risk reduced.
